CWEA RES Awards Nominations

CWEA Redwood Empire Section Awards Nominations

NOMINATE YOURSELF OR YOUR COWORKERS FOR ONE OF THE MANY CWEA/RES AWARDS.

THERE WILL BE A SPECIAL PRIZE FOR ALL NOMINATORS!

AWARD NOMINATIONS DUE OCTOBER 31, 2020.

Recognize the outstanding effort and achievements of your peers in the Redwood Empire Section. Don’t miss out on your opportunity to nominate your staff, co-workers, supervisors and consultants for our section awards. Winners are automatically entered into the running to be named a State Winner. We have awards for almost everyone you come in contact with at work every day, including a special award just for this year. Nominations may be made online at https://cweaawards.secure-platform.com/a/ and awards nominations are due by October 31, 2020.

Unfortunately, the Redwood Empire Section will not have an in-person Awards Dinner this year. Instead, please join us for a virtual awards ceremony in early 2021, with prizes for both the winners AND for every member that the takes the time to nominate another member for an award.

The categories you will find on the CWEA site include:

The Redwood Empire Section also has 3 additional awards that are Local Awards only. These three awards are:

1) The STAN ROSKOWSKI AWARD – Awarded to someone for their Outstanding Services to the CWEA Redwood Empire Section.

2) The MURRAY McKINNIE AWARD – This award, established in 1975, shall include a $100 cash award. This is awarded to an Operator-in-Training or a Grade I Operator to help pay to further their education. The recipient does not have to be an CWEA Member but must be a subscriber to the Section.

3) The Taking IT Above and Beyond AWARD – This year has been challenging in many unforeseen ways and we wanted to give members a way to recognize a department not usually represented in section awards. IT departments were called upon to mobilize rapidly; they provided the equipment for people to work from home, obtained new software to facilitate remote meetings and patiently helped staff learn to use new software and technology. If IT at your agency deserves recognition, please nominate them for an award. The nominated person (or persons) doesn’t have to be a CWEA member, only the person making the nomination

If you are interested in nominating someone for one of these local section awards – please email Jennifer Harrington,  [email protected] and she will send you the very simple nomination form to complete.

There are also a few other State Wide awards you can nominate someone or apply for. All Nomination Applications can be found by logging into your CWEA account here: https://cweaawards.secure-platform.com/a/page/awards

Any questions on award nominations – please contact Jennifer Harrington at [email protected] or 707-652-7806.
